Amazing, so good! One of my favourite books of the year so far. This was such an impactful, sad and desperately hopeful book. You are wishing for a good outcome so much. I was surprised at how much this impacted me, it almost made me cry multiple times. But I did listen to the audiobook the repetitive nature made it feel like a diary entry or the author talking directly to me, I don't know if that would be the same in written format. It explores, grief, life, loss, pain and the reality of the 'other' homeless people. People who are failed by the system and the difficult and desperate choices they have to make. This couple chose to walk and you get to read and enjoy the juxtaposition of reading about the 'Salt Path', the nature, the walk, the camping and the people they meet as well as the emotional turmoil they are going through.
