All the Sinners Bleed by S.A. Cosby
5.0
I loved the latest novel ALL THE SINNERS BLEED by S. A. Cosby. Titus is the new Black sheriff where he grew up in Charon County. At the beginning of the novel, there is a shooting at the local high school involving a long-standing teacher, which is only the tip of the iceberg. As Titus throws himself into the investigation, he places himself in danger.
Cosby's writing is amazing. You feel like you're next to Titus as he delves deeper into the investigation. Despite most of this novel being rough with regard to violence and sexual abuse toward minors, there is some wit. I giggled at the term "recreational pharmaceutical rep" for a drug dealer.
The characters are excellent! From Titus feeling so much pressure as the first Black sheriff to being angered at the local whites being incensed that people want to take now their white memorials, he felt so real. Even his father Albert came alive with so much personality.
I loved nearly everything about this, but be aware that it is very violent like Cosby's other novels.
