I guess February was just the month of mood because I saw this book, and it was being hyped as the saddest series and beating the Ravenhood series. I never read the Ravenhood series, and I didn't have much interest in it because the synopsis didn't pull me in; however, the synopsis of this series had me, and I could not wait to jump into this book. I've had a book make me cry, but this one is a freak whirlwind experience. We span over so many years in this book, and it's insane everything they went through. I have Sean listed as my favorite character in the series. By the end of the book, he is my favorite character in the series, and I feel like he showed the most growth, but he went through a lot on his journey in this book, and it is a very hard book to read at times. This book does not end in a HEA, but the second book does pull in the HEA, so just keep that in mind. It does deal with very heavy themes, and honestly, since I read this series, I have read the Ravenhood series. Although they are both pretty sad series, I think this book is a little sadder because it goes to a lot darker places for longer times. It all happens in this one book, while the Ravenhood spans over three books. Yes, there's a sequel, but that's all centered around Georgia getting her HEA.
