This book was odd. The start had good pacing (first 50ish pages). Despite the pacing of the first portion being good, I cannot say it to be true throughout the rest of it.

The book also suffered heavily from "not like other girls" toxicity that remains throughoit the book. I was hoping we would see character growth of Arwen accepting that feminine traits and likes aren't bad/negative, but we don't.

The reader doesn't see much relationship building between any of the characters so you're not invested in any of them. Not even the FMC and MMC/love interest.

The lack of character development and the reader seeing the relationships happen and grow cheapens the emotional impact when those characters die. We're told how sweet this one character is for her to be besties with Arwen to die in the same chapter.  Okay. Like. I'm so sad? Not.
