Cock & Bull by Laura Barnard
4.0
Irish slang, witty banter, and a subplot that I didn’t even know I needed, all with the backdrop of a run down Irish pub. Yes, yes, yes! I knew I was going to love this book the moment I first read about it.
Phoebe and Ella inherit the Cock & Bull pub from their Aunt and, when they find out that it won’t be easy to sell, decide to move over and have a go at running the place. Except they have no idea what they’re doing. And they don’t have much money to work with. Enter Clooney Green, the son of the rival pub owner, who is happy to help them out in order to get back at his dad. It doesn’t hurt that he’s incredible handsome and has major bad boy vibes.
Cock & Bull was such a fun (and steamy) read and it transported me right back to Ireland. I regularly talk about how much I love the movie Leap Year, and this had so many of the same elements. If you’re a rom-com lover, I highly recommend you check this one out!
Thank you Laura for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a review!
