THIS BOOK IS SO SLAY!! I really needed a lighthearted book after reading fantasy-with-action-heavy plots and this book just clicked with me! I love how the characters were and especially how distinct Liz is from other rom-com MCs while still staying to true to them. I've never seen a book (or movies) tackle these kind of plots (or maybe I haven't consumed those kind of media (recommend me some hehe)), so this was a breath of fresh air. Anyway, here are some quotes and pages that I love!

I watched number 51 hit a shot from behind the white line, and I turned to smile at Wes. But he wasn’t watching the court. He was looking at me—smirking, actually, in a way that made my stomach do a little stutter thing. I blinked, turning back to the court, hoping he didn’t notice whatever little blip that was.

“I made you cry.” He looked away, but I caught a glimpse of his clenched jaw. It was almost like it mattered to him that he’d upset me. And, in the moonlight, I felt something that I had never felt about Wes before. I wanted to move closer to him.

“You look best when you’re you.”

“Wes! Thanks for everything!”
“Libby! “You said ‘everything’! Does that mean you’re thanking me for the kiss, too?”
“I should’ve known you’d ruin it!”
“Nuh-uh, Buxbaum. That was too perfect for anything to ruin. G’night.”
“G’night, Bennett.”

“You’re wrong about Alex. She’s not flawless.”
“Bennett, no one is totally flawless—come on. She’s pretty dang close, though.”
“I suppose.”
“You suppose? What on earth could she possibly be lacking? Do you want bigger boobs or something? Is she not—”
“She’s not you.”
“What?”
“She. Isn’t. You.”
