Finding this boring. Characters feel flat, poor quality thirsty characters, the religions feel inorganic, and the prose is boring. Sad because I loved A Song for Arbonne and Moorish Spain is one of my favorite periods of history (which is what Al-Rassan is supposed to depict). Not sure I’d resume later. 

Also… medicine via urine samples lol. Okay.
