I loved this story so much and just kept wanting to pick it up. I haven’t read a YA romance in such a long time, and this was such a refreshing book to get back into it. There was huge diversity and explorations of Bengali culture which I’d never seen before really in any book, plus the queer elements to the story - it really just added up to a perfect book for me right now.
Yes, it did have a lot of classic YA tropes - the miscommunications and kind of cheesy/unrealistic set up, but I didn’t hugely mind it, and it worked for a great story regardless.
I really loved Jaigirdar’s writing and would love to check out her other books too. I really recommend this!
