Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall

Really cute, fake dating, opposites attract story with two gay men. Throughout this book it felt very much like a up to date retelling of Bridget Jones Diary. But with less diary entries, monologues, other men and obsession with weight. So it removed everything I hated from BJD and left the sweet but complex characters stumbling along trying to make it work, while life, work and family throw lots of crap at them. With an uptight upper-class barrister, who secretly just wants someone to be perfect for and a confused f*ck up son of 80's rockers with daddy issues who is surprisingly charming and just wants someone to accept him. Also it is very stereotypical representation of upper/middle class but I cannot find it in me to feel sorry for them! The messiness, banter and quick pace will keep you interested in what is a very sugary sweet romance.
