This book was super cute and fun. I loved the found family and how all of them came together at the end and

actually succeeded in what they set out to do by killing the abusive prince. I also really liked how they were able to save everyone in the process as well. I think my favorite part was that Agnes and the gravewitch went to live together at the end like an old lesbian couple.

They were so cute together, a grumpy-sunshine pairing. But I think Bone Dog was probably my favorite character, but that's not really saying much because dogs are always my favorite.
I think the only thing that I felt was kind of far-fetched was Marra's naïvety. She was 30 years old for most of this book and she just didn't know anything. It almost seemed like she was a child most of the time. I kept forgetting how old she was while reading.

I knew from the moment that her older sister turned up dead that the prince was an abuser and it took Marra so long to realize that fact. She didn't even think of it right away when she saw the bruises on her younger sister's wrist.

And it's not like it was a family trait to be that naive either. Her younger sister always glared at her for not seeing something right away and honestly me too. I just don't think it was the right move to have her be that innocent, almost to the point of just being overly stupid.
But despite that, I thought it was a cute book and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun fantasy read.
