đź“ť Bi & BIPOC Rep; 3rd Person POV
I went into this story blind, as I do most books. What I assumed would be a romance, turned out to be so much more than that! Yes there’s romance within these pages, but what this book is really about is life after losing a spouse. It’s about the hold that grief can have on your life and how finding yourself again can be messy and imperfect.
This book is deep and full of feelings, but I wouldn’t have expected anything less from Akwaeke Emezi. This is one author that has quickly become an auto-buy author of mine, it seems that they can do no wrong.
