The Mabinogion by Anonymous

adventurous dark reflective slow-paced

5.0

The Mabinogion has a particular rhythm to it, once relying on a welsh bard to tell the tale. At first I found it hard to get into the rhythm but once aided by my best internal Gwen Cooper impression, it was a joy to read.

These stories, and the accompanying introduction and insights are some of the most raw unfiltered Arthurian legends I have ever read. As well as a tremendous and unique insight to the rich tapestry of stories this silly little island holds.
