it took me some time to get used to the rapidly switching perspectives, though now having finished it i understand and appreciate that this is really the only way to tell a story of this scale — at least if you aim to achieve the same impact. so unique and a welcome introduction to moshfegh’s other works. can recommend if cannibalism and heavy religious themes are of any interest!
