The Magician's Heart by J.P. Jackson
3.0
uh. It was ok. It gave me some insight into how the magic system in this world works.
I liked Allan, but Patrick kind of annoyed me. The age gap wasn't actually that big and he kept making Allan seem like he was a child. Which he wasn't. He was 28. He was maybe a loser man child with no ambition, but he was not a sad little baby. Also- Patrick kept saying Allan was super disrespectful and rude and I 35923845% did NOT think that at all. So that got a little bit irritating.
Allan and Kaos and the Alien looking Fae that was literally only on like 3 pages in the book were my favorites and kept the plot interesting for sure.
This one wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad.
It amped me up for the next installments in the series.
I already read Cleric of Desire (book #3) and I am DYINGGGGGGGG for the rest of the series!
