This was pretty good! I didn't like this as much as Crown of Midnight, but more than The Assassin's Blade. Although it was a little slow paced, I liked the introduction of new characters, and that it was split into different sub-plots. Celaena discovering her magical abilities with Rowan was a really good sub-plot, as it was captivating and had its own romantic aspect to it. The romantic relationship between Sorscha and Dorian was really good, as it highlighted their flaws, and brought out the same characteristics that were seen in Throne of Glass. The concept that Chaol was working with Aedion (Celaena's maternal cousin) was really captivating and felt like it will be a big part in Queen of Shadows. I am exited for them to return to the Rifthold, and I am keen to see what will happen next within the series.
