One of my all-time favorite things happened with this book. I went into this one completely blind. I picked it up randomly, and I was obsessed. I loved the twists and turns. I loved the chaos. It was just always something going on. I love when a random book is fantastic and a 5-star read. Plus, I loved the cover! The new illustrated covers for this series are freaking adorable!
Anyways in this book, we are focused on Grayson and Jessica. They were high school sweethearts, but Jess left their small town shortly after graduating. She didn't want to stay in this town and felt like she was holding him back because he was supposed to grow up and take over his family's hotel empire. Plus, his parents looked down on this relationship because Jess was from the wrong side of town. Once she left, she swore she would never return, but after a tragic plane crash, she was forced to return home to heal. It was crazy seeing these two reunite and see everything they go through, and we learn a lot about what really happened between them all those years ago. The only thing I wish was a little different was that I wish Yvonne were in the book! Yvonne's the mom, and she gave up all her rights to Gray as soon as she delivered Amelia, and we never even see her. Plus, as much as the siblings talk about how horrible their father is, he only appears at the end, and even though he dropped some major bombs, I wish we had more of it!
