Grab some Milk Duds and settle into this uncomfortable yet enthralling cannibal erotica.
Relentless splatterpunk I couldn’t look away from. My first in the genre, so this was easily the most vile thing I’ve ever read. I’ve never physically squirmed while reading a book before as much as I did reading this. I relate to another reviewer, in that some parts I just didn’t want to read so I ended up reading it FASTER. Which only insured that it would be a while before these scenes leave my head.
Every trigger warning I can possibly think of. While at first it was a shock to me, I ended up enjoying how absurd it gets and, dare I say, funny.
For a 300 page book I felt like this reads fairly fast. With few spots of lulling. Joe’s cannibalistic path starts off quick and just decends into increasing madness and absurdity. One of a kind character that is as memorable, if not more, than Patrick Bateman.
