This was another cute addition to an adorable series. I’m really loving D.J. Jamison’s writing.

While I was very excited for this book, because the stepbrother trope is my absolute favorite, I will say I was just a touch disappointed. Maybe it’s an issue with the audiobook/narration itself, but I found it really hard to distinguish between Beck and Wes. Even now, I don’t know who was who. Their inner monologues were just so similar and I just felt lost most of the book.

There were a lot of aspects I loved though. I always adore a drunken Vegas wedding. Plus I adore a one-bed trope. And the spice was really doing it for me, like immediately after waking up in Vegas they were foaming out the mouth for each other. So hot. This author just has such a way with dirty talk that I eat up every time.

Unfortunately, the fact that I couldn’t tell who was who at any point took me out of the story a lot because I was just so confused. Maybe it would’ve been better if I read the ebook instead of going the audio route.

I’m sad I’ve reached the end of this series, and I’m not sure whether there will be more in the future. But I’m definitely interested in reading more from this writer.
