unbelievably dark and tragic it’s so interesting to see through first person narratives the ways in which self hatred elitism and misogynoir is deeply embedded in the black community. I feel like with works like these we as a community can really reflect on the progress we’ve made but also the long way we have to go to ending intercommunal bigotry and abuse
