Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

4.0

As a note, I read this book for English class.
Let’s get over the negatives first. I did not like the ending. After the death of Marx, the pacing gets very odd. I lost track of what year it was, and every time someone mentioned an age or event I was left reeling. Some parts went on for too long, others too short. And then, suddenly, it’s the last page, and you’re wondering what the hell happened. Also, halfway through this book, I learned the author was a massive Zionist so there’s that too. I don’t know.
Now for my other thoughts.
This was a good book, and I found it hard to put it down. I’d always come crawling back, no matter what concerning or off putting event (of which there were MANY) occurred. It was kinda like a drug. All the characters were insufferable, and their relationships were rife with a lack of communication that had me pulling my hair out. Still, entertaining. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll write more later. Plus, when conflicts were resolved, and there was a period of good times after, it was sweet. I think my favorite part of this book was Simon and Ant’s wedding, when everyone was on good terms and heartwarming moments were all over. Of course, that was ruined like moments after, but still. Had me smiling at my page until SOME people ruined it.
