i went into this book blindly. i knew nothing about it except that it’s a ya romance book.
and if you want to go into this book, i definitely recommend reading it blindly. in that way, you can experience all the shocks, laughter, grief, and basically just the whole roller coaster in this book.
teddy was an insufferable character at first. his head was too big, but he eventually redeemed himself in the end, which made his character very lovable. alice, on the other hand, is one of the most relatable protagonists i’ve read.
the friends to lovers trope and miscommunication trope did not do it for me, though. i found it frustrating that alice and teddy were getting into fights because of such simple things that can be solved in less than ten minutes.
windfall is a contemporary romance that revolves around luck, meaning it’s extremely unrealistic. if you’re looking for realistic fiction, this book is not for you. though if you want a quick lighthearted romance, this might be the book you are looking for.
