Kendra (Ronnie’s frenemy) takes a How Stella Got Her Groove Back-esque island vacay to contemplate her career and relationship with her boyfriend (Marcus). I was blown away by the plot twists, which I didn’t see coming. It’s still giving the same top-tier ‘90s drama vibes as the first book but also a taste of BDSM that had me clutching my imaginary pearls. One sex scene was a little OD and there were some minor mistakes, but the overall plot execution was amazing.
