O CEREBRO DESSE HOMEM ERA GIGANTE !!!
this mans brain was huge wtf

this was my second Rampo work, and I liked it so much!
the story was set up as a simple robbery case, but the trick itself was ridiculously clever and there was plot twist after plot twist, which left me on the edge of my seat during the entire thing.
from Sherlock Holmes and Edgar Allan Poe references to fucking quotes that would be later referenced in Hyouka (a personal favorite) to batshit crazy characters (esp the narrator. the narrator is insane lmao) to engaging writing, this story has it all!!

imagine having this as your debut work. this mans brain was gigantic ojh my god

ps: I read this thanks to Futaba san's video and I also read it with this fantastic audiobook (the narrator is so good)

(when it clicked that Oreki was referring to this in the ‘Silk Spider Society’ story,,,)
