The Irish Princess by Elizabeth Chadwick

2.0

I have consistently loved Elizabeth Chadwick's novels but I have to say this one is my least favourite. It's not bad or even badly written, I just found it really boring. It took me. long time to read which is indicative that I'm struggling with a book. I loved the central character and it's refreshing to read a historical fiction book that isn't about the main players and features people like Henry (the 2nd I think) only tangentially. I don't why it just didn't excite me or compel me to look forward to reading.

If you haven't read any other of Chadwick's novels please don't let this review put you off because I have liked all the others. The problem could very well be me.
