I saw this book on YouTube, and it sounded fascinating. I could not wait to give it a try. This was my first book by QB Tyler, and I loved this one! It is a taboo romance, and it deals with a pretty big age gap. I think this was an amazing way to play out this story, and I couldn't get enough of it. I struggled a little bit with the cheating because he was so awful to her! He kept gaslighting her, and it felt like by the time she reunited with Jacob, her relationship had already ended, just not officially. I really want to read more in this series and see how the rest of the books go because this one was so good!

2024 Reread
Honestly, this one isn't going to be for everyone. I mean we have infidelity because honestly, Whitney could've broken up with her fiance so many times. We have an age gap and not just a regular age gap, Jacob's Whitney's godfather/best friend with her parents! So he's been around pretty much her whole life! The book places a big emphasis on how their relationship evolved. It's a very messy read and it gets so steamy between these two and things just continue to implode on their lives throughout the book. Now I love the drama in this one but I know it's not going to be for everyone so definitely check the content warnings before picking it up! This was a reread for me. I wanted to reread it because I just got a physical copy for my Christmas and I was meeting Tyler at Sweetgrass so I couldn't wait to get it signed.
