There is something so comforting about reading RL Stine's books. The writing, the font, the stories--despite how scary it can be and I'll probably feel spooked for the next 24 hours.
The 12 Screams of Christmas was fast-paced, entertaining, creepy, and with twists and turns. It took me about an hour to read it. I didn't think I could finish it all in one sitting but I just couldn't put it down. I loved that it had a little history to tie in with the modern main character. It gave it more depth to the story. And the ending felt satisfying; both for its karmic justice and the creepy cliff hanger. Easy 5 stars!
