“Ethan’s party is a place where the law doesn’t exist. Anything you want, you can have.”
“I am persistent. Don’t expect me to give up easily, no matter how much of a bitch you are.”
“On your knees and crawl to me, pet.”
“Her blood is my blood. Our blood is addictive. I need more.”
Lily’s story broke my heart. Imagine being a teenager and coming home to an empty home and just a note vaguely telling you what was going on. No wonder she felt unwanted, and her life took an unexpected turn.
Jaxson was a dream book boyfriend material. He was willing to do anything for Lily, and his number one priority was to make sure that she was happy. Even though Lily had a hard time seeing that at first.
I enjoyed the relationship development, dynamic, and chemistry between Lily and Jaxson, and the spice was spicing (as always in Kinsley’s books).
This book was much deeper than just a taboo romance, and as someone who struggles at times with depression and anxiety, I think that the mental health aspect was well written and felt very real.
