Cross My Heart by Abigail Strom
4.0
I just finished this an hour or two ago, and I once again gained hope for free Kindle romances. It was gone for a while (as you might've noticed in my reviews), but now it's back. I've also noticed something else. All of the romances I enjoy best, the ones I pour over again and again, are the ones I've downloaded long ago and yet am reluctant to read. How strange...
This was just a lovely little story. I related so strongly to Jenna, this woman who just does not want to be tied down to anywhere or anyone. It's a scary feeling, being trapped, and it was easy for me to understand her thoughts and emotions. Michael was a harder nut to crack, but eventually I got to know him as well. I loved how he treated Jenna and Claire. It is definitely hard to be a dad with a teenage daughter. Sometimes I think my dad just kind of rolls with everything. It was short, sweet, and perfect for my insomnia fueled night.
I totally recommend!
