ENZO MARINO, YOU DOGGGGGG 🤭 Okay no but for real, this was easily one of my favorite books in the Never After series. It's giving Scarred and Tristan Faasa a run for their money, and if you know me, you know how much I love that book. So for this to compare? It's means she's seriously GIVING.

Emily was right when she said this was her most romantic couple. These two had me gnawing on the bars of my enclosure from the get go. Venesa, my sweet little siren, can do no wrong. I mean, not literally, because girl was definitely committing crimes left and right lmfao, but pish posh none of that matters, because all I wanted for her was happiness. As a fellow people pleaser, I just adored her. All she wanted was love and approval from her family and the people that should have had her back without hesitation, and instead, she was constantly made to work for it. My heart hurt for her.

And Enzo, that little SCAMPPPP. I love a good Mafia Don in general, but there was just something about him that had me swooning every five minutes. Maybe the tattoos? Maybe the way he encourage Venesa to let her dark side come out to play, instead wanting to change her into a perfect little mafia wife? Ugh I'm swooning again.

This was just such a great read. I love the way that Emily merges elements of the original fairytale and the more commercial depictions of it together, but still makes it feel like her own story. While I'm so sad to see the Never After series finished, I'm so glad that this was our last book, because it truly ended with a bang.
