Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation by Lynne Truss

5.0

Would recommend: Yes (especially to anal-retentive grammarians)

My former-English-teacher mother-in-law bought me a copy of Eats, Shoots & Leaves when she bought a copy for herself, and I loved it. The author is a tart Brit with a love of punctuation, and her righteous anger about grammar mishaps is fantastic. In my edition, my favorite part was the note that the book was punctuated in the British style, so attentive Americans wouldn't get all up in arms.
