The Beast and His Beauty by Willow Winters
3.5
⭐️⭐️⭐️,5 / 🌶️🌶️🌶️
“The beast may have claimed her as his, but this time she’s mine.”
“Tonight we will find our beauty. We will take her back to castle. She will be ours.”
Quick and easy to read Beauty and the Beast retelling with some spice.
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairytales, and I love reading retellings of it.
The book was told in two POVs, Elle and the Prince/the Beast. A lot of the story was told through inner monologue instead of dialogue. At times, I would have liked to see more dialogue instead of monologue.
There were some parts that felt a bit repetitive, and I would have personally preferred the pacing to be a bit more consistent, instead of feeling quite slow at times and rushed in other parts.
The magic seemed interesting but left me with some questions. I would have liked to learn more about the curse and how the dynamic between the beast and the prince worked.
I liked the ending, and how it was different from the original version.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
