I had so been looking forward to this book and then Jillian did an incredible job marketing it in the lead up to today's release, so I was even more excited. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It is so good. Like... I loved her first book and made me a fan but this one has my devotion. So many moments where I felt understood and wanted to comfort Lena. So many moments where it was outside of my experience but I wanted to comfort Gavin. Also, did I mention there is an increase in spice level? Well there is, and it is excellent. The mutual pining is cranked to 100, the chemistry undeniable, and honestly don't make me choose between them--full on bi crisis over here. AND it's all set at Christmas in a snowy little town with more townspeople and family member side characters for us to meet? Sold. I'm there. I mean... I already was... I woke up too early for my liking to feed the cat and then stayed up and read it in one sitting instead of going back to sleep so.... What an excellent start to the month!
