This was another excellent book in this series! I don’t know what it is about them but I love them everytime. They are really well written and translated - despite their age they feel and read pretty modern. The characters are always so vivid and enjoyable to read about. I love Kosuke so much: he’s smart, funny and quirky. I really like Isokawa too and I love how they work together to solve cases. There were a lot of characters in this one but the character list at the beginning helped me keep them all in order. It was great to follow them and discover each of their secrets. The mystery in this was so good - it had so many layers and I found it really interesting. It was quite dark, twisty and I loved the way it centred around a song from the past. I did not guess the final twist and the reveal shocked me a lot! It had the classic mystery scene where everyone sits down and the killer is revealed which I loved. Overall it was such a fun, fast paced and enjoyable mystery novel - I can’t wait for the next to be translated!
