We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

funny informative inspiring fast-paced

5.0

For a short little essay, this really packs a punch.

Based on Adichie's TEDx Talk of the same name, this essay delves into what feminism is in the twenty-first century, and what it has been like previously in both the U.S. and Nigeria. It forces us to think about institutionalised behaviours and explains why this divide in gender can do more harm for both men and women.

Points were brought up in this that I was so used to and were so normalised to me, that I didn't even realise that women were being discriminated against. Feminism can get a lot of negative press but this is very well written and I would recommend that everyone reads it.
