The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis
5.0
Such an amazing and beautiful beginning to a timeless series…the description of the creation of Narnia is breathtaking. The fear yet awe that the children experienced when gazing at Aslan—such beautiful symbolism. Every time I reread this I am amazed by the simplicity yet depth that C. S. Lewis used in the Narnia series. The emotion the books evoke is unexplainable.
"Well, I do think someone might have arranged
about our meals," said Digory.
"I'm sure Aslan would have, if you'd asked him," said Fledge.
"Wouldn't he know without being asked?" said
Polly.
"I've no doubt he would," said the Horse (still with his mouth full). "But I've a sort of idea he likes to be asked.” ❤️
