The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
2.0
5 stars -> 2 stars
When I read this for the first time it was the summer of 2016 and I was 15 years old. When I finished it then I remember thinking : wow this is what literature is.
Now, it's the winter of 2022, I am 20 years old and this is exactly the type of writing and story that I hate.
When I decided I wanted to re-read The Catcher in the Rye I was excited and I thought that I still would love it. I didn't think that my reading taste actually changed. But now I know and I'm quite happy that I have moved on from "this". It was a learning experience to say the least.
