The Wives by Tarryn Fisher
4.0
3.5 STARS! The Wives was a wild ride, and not what I expected at all.
Thursday's husband is a polygamist, and she agreed to that. She's fine with it. Until she learns something about one of the other wives - her name. And then she starts to dig. And dig further. And, eventually, she finds something that tells a completely different story about the man she marries. So, what is she going to do about it?
The Wives was a fast paced and enjoyable read. But it was also a bit ridiculous. It kind of felt like the author tried to squeeze in as many twists as possible and at one point I just got tired of it. At about the 75% mark, the book could've gone in one direction and been a 4.5-5 star read, but it went in a different direction and I just found myself annoyed? Disappointed? I'm not entirely sure, to be honest.
