Feathers At Sea by Kennedy Sutton
5.0
Feathers at sea has left me reeling. Check your content warnings, this book does not shy away from the hard subjects.
The way the last book ended set this book up for our Fmc Jane being left behind on land. She once again finds herself in dire circumstances and has to try and change her fate. She takes up with a group of much rougher pirates, and her story just looks more and more grim with each flip of the page. She is resilient and refuses to stay knocked down even if she has to harm others climbing her way back up.
Holt is just as swoon worthy as he was in book one, with a side of brooding! He is on a mission to right the wrongs he’s done and risks the ire of his crew to do it. He and Jane Circle each other like ships passing in the night, Bennett is chasing after her but only seems to come in contact with her love letters she leaves behind. Creating the best slow burn possible.
I loved this book even more than the last. Will this book crush your souls, make you cry, hurt your heart? Absolutely. I haven’t cried over a book in a long time but the Sneaky Lass and Feathers at sea brought on my ugliness crying. This book the unforgettable easily one of my to 5 books read this year!
