Lucy Crisp and the Vanishing House by Janet Hill
3.0
I'm actually pretty disappointed with this one because I had such high hopes. I can't tell y'all enough how this had the prettiest and most vibrant and unique illustrations in any book I've read. From the cover, to the hardback, to the art inside it's gorgeous. That being said, the story is a bit lackluster. I didn't particularly care for any characters, the town itself sounded interesting, and I like the writing. It's just...so many unnecessary conversations, scenes that dragged on, and I thought I was going to get a more paranormal story and what I ended up getting was much different and it threw me off.
