A childhood classic I recently re-visited and boy, did it not disappoint. Coming back to this after about two decades of not reading it I expected this to be somewhat cringe, but it's legitimately a really fun and creative story with a lot of heart to it. The two main characters, Tibbe and Minoes, are super likable and them working together with the local cat population to find news for the local paper was just really fun. The story gradually takes a slightly darker turn as it turns out
one of the town officials is an animal abuser and a fraud
, and Minoes, Tibbe and the cats have to once again work together to prove his guilt.

It's just a really fun, creative, wholesome book and even gets really exciting later on. Definitely glad I re-visited this one. It's a really fun one.
