A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

dark emotional tense

3.75

With finishing ACOTAR, it's the first time I feel like I might enjoy a series from this genre. The world sounds very interesting and I like the idea of all the different courts. I'm also very intrigued to find out where all the different character arcs are going. Despite being a super slow read for me I still enjoyed reading it. I just wished there was more going on in the middle of the book. But I think as the first book in a fantasy series it's normal to be a bit slow, since you need some world building and character introduction before you can develop a deep and gripping story. I think this series is a good start, for a person like me, who hasn't read much fantasy before.
