This was cute. Once again wishing these books existed when I was the target age range. The plot wound up being more complex than I or the main character expected, lol. I like the theme of people's actions not being black and white, good or evil. Also confirmed I like the idea of paranormal and mundane mixing even in middle grade. And gosh these kids were cute. You just want to both protect them and let them free to explore the world. Maybe do things different than you as an adult would.
