A Kiss for the Holidays by C.S. Autumn
4.0
This is such a sweet holiday novella about two best friends that after a holiday uni party starts to glide apart. All because of a small misunderstanding regarding a kiss.
Asher and Dalton meet when they are about 8-9 years old and since that first day they have stuck together through thick and thin. After misunderstanding at a party they both attended in their early 20s, Asher starts to put some distance between them. All because he feels like he needs to get over his crush on Dalton. But it's not as easy as he would have wanted it to be. Especially since their families are going to celebrate Christmas together in Austria.
In Austria all is going as well as it can with the tension building between the two MC’s. This until a faithfull night when they end up snowed in after Asher takes a tumble and Dalton follows. This is a blessing in disguise because now they have to talk and sort out the tension between them. And I will leave you at that because I don't want to give too much away, but let me tell you it is not as smooth sailing as you would think.
This is a short story with a lot of fun steamy moments but also light angst-y ones. Both of the characters have to work for that HEA and the payout is very sweet. It’s a perfect read if you want to get away from the holiday bustle for a bit, just don’t forget the hot chocolate or even better the mulled wine.
