I had heard this compared badly to Weir's other novels, so didn't go in expecting to love it, but I did! I don't know why people dislike it, it felt very much akin to Weir's other novels (lone snarky genius Solves Problems snarkily, with different degrees of help from lovable side-characters) and I had a great time. I did start rolling my eyes every time Jazz reminded the reader that things are DIFFERENT ON THE MOON over and over again. I mean, I didn't need 17 reminders about the moon's gravity xD, the first two were probably enough.
