The Quiche of Death by M.C. Beaton

4.0

I have to admit when I started reading the series, I thought Agatha was going to be a sweet, lovable character.....
Was I wrong! She is abrasive, rude, and insecure.... and she grows on you, by the end of the book I really liked her, probably why I'm already on the third book.... The book started with Agatha trying to endear herself to the village she has just moved to... how is she going to do this? Win The quiche baking contest... what is the problem with this? She can't bake.... so she does what any of us would do put in this position, purchases a quiche and tries to pass it off as her own.... The problem is The quiche kills the judge... and because she is now being accused by her new neighbors of murder, she takes it upon herself to try to solve the mystery.... I enjoyed her sleuthing .... and the characters introduced along the way especially Bill and Roy....
