I have never read A Secret Garden retelling before (is there anymore, IDK, but I need to know!), and The Edge of Inbetween is a perfect twist on this classic, with magical elements. This book is a book about loss and grief and overcoming it. It is amazing, and all the characters are just written perfectly. But bring tissues, because the end of this book gave me all the feels.
