A visit back home makes Abigail remember her roots, what’s important in life, and the time lost with her BFF (Kendrick). This was a heavy, faith-based, friends to lovers romance that made me shed a few thug tears. I must be broken because while this was sad, I didn’t think it was sliding down the wall crying sad like everyone else said. This is definitely something you have to be in the mood for, but there were more spurts of happiness that other people didn’t care to mention in their reviews. Her family/support system (Ma’dear, Franny, Marvin, Harris, Pastor Bradley, Maureen) were also highlights…except for Tracy, who could’ve caught these hands in Chapter 1.
