It’s a little underwhelming for a Bridgerton book, however I kind of liked that. I love Eloise, but I wish she got a better romantic story. She deserved more in a marriage than just to be a mother to two children. Phillip is sweet and even though he wasn’t ideal at first, his actions are understandable due to his childhood and first marriage. Yet, he at his low points, he was super annoying and whining. He really doesn’t know how to handle any conflict whatsoever and I don’t think he ever learns to do so. There were some cute moments, but this one is sort of forgettable.
