Theft by Finding: Diaries (1977-2002) by David Sedaris
4.0
Not my favorite Sedaris, but I do appreciate this diary publishing specifically because it covers a part of his life that he hasn't talked much about in his other writings: the early adulthood life that led to his being writer, and the time between that and art school (his life pre-Hugh). At times, it was tough to read about the abject poverty in which he chose to live, battles with addiction, and other situations that, while those of us who've read and listened to all things Sedaris know that these parts definitely existed, might not have felt as familiar with them as we do after this reading.
