A prequel novella of how Donovan and Nichelle met and his prior criminal activities. Donovan sounded like he was that dude back in the day! I now understand the appeal and why Nichelle folded like a lawn chair when he returned. This book is basically character fluff and isn’t necessary to understand the overall storyline but does add more depth to their dynamic. I feel like some of this could’ve been incorporated into the first book as flashbacks instead of creating a separate piece of work.
